Serena Williams, sizzles in a little black dress… after saying she is looking forward to be ‘free’. Serena Williams posed in a cute little black dress this week. The tennis pro was modeling the one-arm number she designed for her clothing line, adding short black boots for an image shared to Instagram.
Serena Williams shared a sexy selfie of her famous backside and men all over the world over sighed, “thank you.” Serena Williams gracefully gained her footing as she did a spin, smiled and laughed. Serena wrote in her caption: ‘Cause why not?’
Earlier this week the athlete was seen in a tight brown dress as she sat and laid down in a white backdrop studio. This comes after she and sister Venus Williams stunned in black swimsuits on the cover of a fashion magazine.
The tennis superstars donned sexy one-shoulder one-pieces for the fashion magazine’s Legacy Issue and talked about life after future retirement in the accompanying interview. Also, the tennis pro showed off what her mama gave her, in an image in which she’s dressed in a hip-hugging, white bodycon dress. “Look back at it,” she wrote. And how could we not?
Although Williams has been criticized for her muscular, toned body in the past, that hasn’t dissuaded her from flaunting her hard work. And we love it. For a retrospective of Williams’ sexiest photos to date, hit the flip.
Meanwhile, Serena explained that contemplating her legacy does not factor in to her daily life. ‘That’s something I don’t think about nor do I want,’ she said. ‘I don’t want to think about what I’m leaving. I just think about who I am every single day behind closed doors and behind cameras. And that’s what I focus on.’
Serena Williams attempts to break the internet…
If you had any doubts that Serena Williams is one of the most powerful women today, this photo of her doing the splits on parallel bars should convince you. And the article this photo shoot accompanies, the cover story of New York magazine’s Fashion Issue, sets out to prove that she’s figuratively powerful — on and off the tennis court — as well.
The star talks about her foray into fashion — first in athletic wear (her first choice was wedding gowns, but she decided it didn’t make much sense) and then a clothing line sold on HSN.
She explains that she’s already starting to think of her tennis career in the past tense and focusing on her fashion lines and other endeavors going forward. And that’s in large part because, in addition to dominating the sport itself, “We brought fashion back to tennis,” Serena says. “It was great when Chris Evert was around. Tracy Austin had some great designs. But the ’90s was not a good time.”
Williams also models sleek black ensembles (from a high-slit dress, seen on the cover, above, to a formfitting bodysuit) in the issue — though most of her poses are more conventional than the killer splits that she Instagrammed (and that open the story). And if she looks like a natural at modeling, that’s because she had plenty of practice last year when she graced the cover of Vogue (for the second time).
And even then, she was looking forward, saying, “I feel like I have a desire to be better than ever. I am never, ever satisfied. I always want to do more, be more, reach a new level. Not just in tennis but in everything I do.” And judging by those next-level splits, we’d say she’s accomplishing her goals.
Even further proof Serena Williams is one of the best athletes in the world
Serena Williams once again made headlines on Monday after stunning shots of her appeared in the New York magazine. The tennis legend posed for the magazine wearing a black one piece showing off her flexibility and strength in a split captured by Norman Jean Roy.
Serena Williams eyes a fashionable post-court life, but first she’s got tennis history to make. “I have lots of trophies, and I’m just — I’m not that person that needs to see all these trophies,” she says, under a blanket in the greenroom with Chip, her Yorkie on her lap.
I have some in my house here, some in my house there, some I don’t know what happened to ’em. I have my grand-slam trophies,” Serena was quoted as saying by VIBE. That’s right Serena Williams!
The American’s physic has been a topic of hot discussion for tennis fans throughout her career. Last month, “Harry Potter” author JK Rowling had defended tennis ace online. Rowling jumped to the athlete’s defense on Twitter after the female tennis player was dissed by an internet troll over her physical appearance.
“Ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man,” the hater wrote, to which Rowling quickly fired back, “Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You’re an idiot.” The reply was accompanied with pictures of Williams showing off her curves in a red form-fitting dress.
Before shutting up the hater, Rowling raved about Williams following her 23rd Gram Slam Championship. “I’m #TeamSerena today, because you don’t meet many super-talented people nicer than she is. Go @serenawilliams!” she posted along with a picture of her with the tennis champ. She added, “#SerenaSlam! I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman!”
